Vince Avallone, FACHA, AIA, CASp, LEED AP, a vice president and medical planner based out of SmithGroup’s San Francisco, California office, has been elevated to fellowship by the American College of Healthcare Architects. Fellowship is one of the highest honors and is awarded to one who has demonstrated an individual impact and influence in healthcare facility architecture.
Drawing upon 30 years of experience, his expertise in client-driven strategy and space functionality has shaped effective medical facility planning at SmithGroup for 17 years. Avallone previously served as president of ACHA in 2020 and was an active board member for seven years, participating in numerous committees and juries.
He is a member of the AIA and its Academy of Architecture for Health and has received a presidential commendation from the AIA San Francisco chapter for his success as the chair of its Health and Science Committee.
