LeChase Construction Services is renovating a magnetic resonance imaging room at Nuvance Health Imaging and Radiology in Fishkill, New York for the installation of new MRI equipment.
Crews are performing the 1,000-square-foot renovation while operations continue at the imaging center. Steps are being taken to prevent disruption to the adjacent MRI units, as well as other nearby advanced and sensitive medical equipment. For example, workers are using non-ferrous tools on the project because the powerful magnet used in the MRI unit remains partially active, even as the machinery is being replaced.
The project is expected to be completed in November 2024.
