Francis Pitts, FAIA, FACHA, OAA, principal at architecture+, has been selected as the 2024 American College of Healthcare Architects’ Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
The Lifetime Achievement Award jury recognized his notable impact on the practice of healthcare architecture, nominating him for this prestigious honor, and the ACHA Board of Regents approved the recommendation.
Clyde Moore III, AIA ACHA, a Lifetime Achievement Awards jury member and ACHA past president, shared his thoughts on Frank’s nomination:
“Frank’s career represents a lifetime of work any healthcare architect would be extremely proud to call their own. His designs for mental health facilities showcase incredible complexity, sensitivity and innovation — setting trends followed by many today. Beyond that, his dedication to giving back to the healthcare design community and the broader architecture field through his history of leadership with AIA, ACHA and AIA-AAH solidifies his influential role in our industry.”
