Alison Faecher, ASID, IIDA, LEED AP, interior design principal in SmithGroup’s Boston, Massachusetts office, has been named Designer of the Year by the American Society of Interior Designers, during its annual National Awards program.
Faecher’s design approach is based on a unique blend of creativity, empathy and expertise. Using storytelling as a driver, she connects region and brand with key design elements, creating essential experiences. With her depth of knowledge in healthcare and senior living markets, she delivers infection prevention and wellness tactics to shape key decisions on projects.
As an advocate for enhancing the human experience, she recognizes the key role environments play in health and well-being, employing this advocacy as chair of the ASID Committee on Adaptive Living.
