Healthcare Leader at Shepley Bulfinch Among Construction Institute 2024 Champions of Change
The Construction Institute has named Uma Ramanathan, FAIA, principal and pediatric healthcare practice leader at Shepley Bulfinch, as a 2024 Champions of Change awardee. Each year, the institute selects award recipients for their contributions mentoring and supporting women and others in the industry.
With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, planning and design, Ramanathan has been involved with many academic, community and regional programming and planning efforts. With an unwavering commitment to the collaborative process and achievement of excellence, Ramanathan advocates for teamwork and steadfastly approaches projects collectively by creating collaborative environments where everyone has a seat at the table.
In addition, she recognizes the importance of women’s empowerment within the AEC industry and supports this mission by fostering equitable environments and mentoring several young female architects and designers.
