JLL’s newly published research “Resilient Solutions: The Case for Microgrids,” discusses how microgrids – small-scale, localized power systems comprising distributed energy resources – offer a promising pathway toward a sustainable and resilient energy future and can help communities struggling to meet demand.

- Mitigating Risks: The average electricity consumer in the U.S. experienced 20 more minutes of power interruptions in 2020 compared to 2017.
- Achieving Corporate Goals: Microgrids are set to become a common feature in tomorrow’s built environment. Some industries recognize the economic and societal consequences of power outages and are rapidly adopting energy-resilient solutions like microgrids.
- Driving Profitability: Microgrids help drive profitability by mitigating lost revenue and increasing real estate value, among others.
