Vanir is among 17 companies being recognized by the Construction Management Association of America with a National Project Achievement Award. The company won the award in the category of healthcare: construction value greater than $50 million for its work on the UC Davis Health Ambulatory Care Center expansion/Ernest E. Award winners serve as examples for CMAA to promote professionalism and excellence in the management of the construction process.

The project included construction of a four-story outpatient services building and renovation of 16,760 square feet of existing clinical space in an ambulatory surgery center. New utilities, roadway relocations and upgrades to the ACC’s critical systems and utilities were also included in the scope of work. The new facility includes 64 examination rooms, 24 imaging rooms and an entire floor dedicated to refractive and oculoplastic surgery and more.

Vanir’s services included project and construction management, planning, Design-Build criteria development, procurement management and RFQ/RFP from design through warranty. In addition, sustainable design criteria services were provided for the project, which is targeting LEED Gold for new construction and LEED Silver for the renovation component.

Additional project team members included McCarthy Building Companies, HGA/TEF, Architectural Nexus, Buehler Engineering, Guttman & Blaevoe and Siegfried Engineering.
