Ray Brower, AIA, NCARB, CLGB, has joined Perkins Eastman as a principal in its Washington, D.C. studio and is part of the firm’s healthcare practice. With more than 40 years of experience, Brower is an expert in healthcare facility planning, pre-design operational planning and programming, medical planning and project management. His wide-ranging local, national and international expertise in healthcare planning makes him an invaluable asset to the firm.
Brower blends strategic design thinking with long-range facility transformation goals, ultimately creating sustainable solutions that look to the future. His healthcare project experience includes the Jefferson Health system-wide masterplan in southern New Jersey, Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York, MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., Johns Hopkins Medicine International’s Clinica Las Condes in Santiago, Chile and Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt in Cairo, Egypt, among many others.
He is a registered architect in six states — Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia and West Virginia. In addition, he serves on the advisory committee for Temple University’s Tyler School of Art & Architecture in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
