Practice Greenhealth has announced the recipients of this year’s Top 25 Environmental Excellence Awards. The achievement honors facilities that exemplify the highest standards for sustainability practices in healthcare.
In addition to the Top 25, Practice Greenhealth is recognizing 368 healthcare organizations across 11 areas of sustainability through its annual Environmental Excellence Awards program.
This year’s Top 25 winners range in size from large, urban, academic medical centers to critical access hospitals. The facilities have formal commitments to address climate change, are avoiding chemicals of concern and reducing meat served, have engaged staff in supporting sustainability programs, and are demonstrating leadership in their communities and across the healthcare sector. Award winners were chosen among hospital applicants with the highest scores on Practice Greenhealth’s Partner for Change application.
