SmithGroup has hired Daniel Cusick, AIA, as health studio leader and principal in its Los Angeles, California office. In this role, he leads an expert team in the delivery of planning and design solutions for healthcare systems throughout Southern California. In addition, he focuses on building client relationships and expanding partnerships in the healthcare industry.
With 35 years of leadership and healthcare design experience, he specializes in academic and emergency medicine; acute, ambulatory and cancer care, and women’s and children’s facilities.
His portfolio includes the Catholic Health Good Samaritan Hospital Patient Care Pavilion, Memorial Sloan Kettering Children’s Cancer Center and New York’s first LEED Platinum–certified hospital at Northwell Health Katz Women’s Hospital at Manhasset.
