A topping-off celebration was recently held for the new pediatric wing at Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine.
The wing will add 50 new pediatric inpatient rooms, in addition to therapy and classroom space for children’s programming. The wing will play a key role in the Acadia For All campaign, an initiative to help ensure all Maine citizens receive access to the care they need for behavioral health issues.
Hospital employees, trustees and donors had the opportunity to sign the final beam that plays a key structural role in the building. Construction began in the spring of 2022 and is slated to last through 2023. The project team includes Consigli Construction Co., Inc. and Lavallee Brensinger Architects.
