The American College of Healthcare Architects and the Nursing Institute for Healthcare Design have joined forces to promote inter-professional expertise in the healthcare design process. Board-certified ACHA architects provide expertise at the highest level of healthcare design and planning. NIHD members provide clinical expertise that encourages optimal operational solutions.
The organizations are exploring the possibilities for shared resources and research, representation on each other’s juries and task forces, and co-authoring presentations and articles. The goal is to raise the awareness of the activities of both groups among members and together promote best healthcare design practices in the industry.
