The beam-signing and topping out ceremony was held for Mercy Health Kings Mills Hospital in Mason, Ohio. The ceremony marks the placement of the final structural beam on top of the new hospital. The 156,900-square-foot hospital will focus on providing emergency care and general and orthopedic surgery, and offers opportunity for future campus expansion. It will include:
- Emergency department
- One level II cath lab
- 60 beds
- Four operating rooms
- Two procedure suites
The facility will also be home to a medical office building located adjacent to the hospital and offer specialist care. The project team includes Danis Construction and GBBN. Additional team members include HEAPY (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineer), Schaefer (structural engineer) and MSP (landscape and civil engineer). The facility is expected to open in late 2023.
