LightFair invites the lighting industry to “Illuminate the Possibilities” by applying to be a speaker in the newly Illuminating Engineering Society-updated LightFair Conference and/or Tradeshow tour guide for the 2023 edition of LightFair, May 21 – 25, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Applications for speakers and tour guides close on Oct. 14.
The conference celebrates the multi-disciplinary approach of the lighting industry through five broad programming themes: Business, Science, Process, Art and Technology.
The conference will offer 60-minute courses and 3-hour workshops, as well as 1-day and 2-day courses in the pre-conference.
Applicants are encouraged to think outside-the-box with their presentation format and delivery. Presenters at the 2023 conference will be compensated for their time and will see additional opportunities for networking with audience members.
LightFair is also looking for knowledgeable industry professionals to help attendees navigate one of the four exhibit hall pavilions: Design Pavilion, Outdoor Pavilion, Technology Pavilion and The Collective.
Tour guides will be assigned to one pavilion and will lead one or more tours during the three-day tradeshow, May 23 – 25. Tour guide applicants must be knowledgeable about overall assigned categories and willing to gain familiarity with the assigned pavilion’s exhibitors, trends and new products. Guides will lead attendees to and within the designated tour’s pavilion and answer attendee questions.
Guides will receive complimentary 3-day conference and tradeshow access, pre- and post-show recognition, online and offline marketing exposure.
