Gary Hamilton, P.E., PMP, LEED AP, CxA, EDAC, FASHE, has been promoted to national healthcare practice leader for Property and Buildings at WSP USA. Hamilton, who joined the firm in 2017, is a senior vice president at WSP and previously led the healthcare practice for the East Coast. He is based in Washington, D.C.
Hamilton succeeds Nolan Rome, who has led the U.S. healthcare business of WSP since 2018. Rome will continue with WSP in a role focused on projects, client development and strategy.
With nearly 25 years of experience, Hamilton has designed and built hospitals around the globe. In 2021, he was deputy director of the Healthcare Innovation Special Interest Group board for the National Society of Black Engineers, a nonprofit with more than 600 chapters and 24,000 active members in the U.S. and abroad. He is also a founder of the National Capital Region of Healthcare Engineers.
