Expansion Project Brings Orthopedic Specialties Under One Roof, Marks Investment in Downtown Reno
Reno Orthopedic Center and The Neenan Company are celebrating the grand opening of the newly expanded musculoskeletal campus in downtown Reno, Nevada. The Neenan Company served as the Design-Build partner for the project, delivering the 138,000-square-foot campus to bring all possible orthopedic services under one roof.
The project enhances services for Reno’s rapidly growing population. Reno Orthopedic Center sees about 214,000 patients per year, which continues to grow with the center’s expansion of services.
The project features a 76,000-square-foot addition that connects to the renovated existing 62,000-square-foot clinic. The project has more than doubled the campus’ exam rooms and operating rooms, and expands ROC Express, the urgent care walk-in clinic. The expansion also adds capacity for the advanced imaging center to bring MRI services to the campus, while doubling the amount of X-ray rooms. Additional features on the campus include clinical offices, physical therapy and a post-operative recovery center.
With the project, the campus also hosts the Chiron Center, a bio skills learning lab offering specialized training for future healthcare providers in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Reno.
