Josh Domingo, AIA, NCARB, senior health planner and professional associate, HDR, and Victoria Navarro, MBA-HCM, regional director, planning, design and construction, Advocate Aurora Health, have both been named 2021 Symposium Distinction Award Winners for their respective contributions to the industry. The awards were presented during the recent Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo held in Austin, Texas.

In the 16 years Domingo has been in the industry, he has worked tirelessly to expand his knowledge of designing healthcare facilities. His experience ranges from small community hospitals to large international facilities. Utilizing his knowledge and data he’s garnered through researching latest trends, he’s able to engage clinical users to ensure the right design decisions are made.
Individual Award
Navarro provides strategic direction and oversight to both system-wide and regional-based capital construction projects. As a key team leader on the first LEED Healthcare Gold Certified hospital project in the Midwest, she implemented standardized facility operations and room design, utilized modular and prefabricated construction and the Integrated Project Delivery method.
