Dan Thomas, AIA, ACHA, NCARB, EDAC, has rejoined HDR as a health principal in the Dallas, Texas studio. In this position, Thomas will lead HDR’s health practice in the Dallas area, employing over 25 years of experience in patient-centered healthcare design and planning.
Thomas has a long history of successful projects with HDR on his resume. He returns with a depth of experience in the business side of architecture and leading teams, and says he is looking forward to winning compelling healthcare work and continuing to grow a strong practice in the South region.
Thomas recently served as vice president and healthcare director at CRTKL in Dallas. Prior to his role at CRTKL, Thomas was a principal and senior vice president at HKS. Prior to his role at HKS, Thomas was an associate vice president and senior healthcare architect at HDR.
Thomas earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design at Texas A&M University where he remains heavily involved as a member of the Texas A&M University Health Industry Advisory Council, a program dedicated to improving health outcomes through design and empowering future healthcare design professionals through mentorship.
