Tara Brown has joined HMC Architects’ healthcare practice to bolster its growth and expertise in the Southwestern region of the U.S.
Serving as principal-in-charge, Brown brings a wealth of industry-leading experience and a skillset rooted in strategic planning, leading big room project teams and genuine knowledge of healthcare clients’ key drivers and business challenges. Located in HMC’s Phoenix, Arizona office, she will be instrumental in serving and 
growing the firm’s healthcare client base through her leadership experience and intuitive understanding of the challenges healthcare clients face.
Previously with architecture firms Shepley Bulfinch, Devenney Group and OWP/P (now CannonDesign), Brown managed a variety of projects in the Phoenix area including leading a design on an integrated project delivery team specifically for the vertical expansion of Mayo Clinic and the new HonorHealth Sonoran Crossing Medical Center, which opened in September 2020. Brown also served as campus architect for Banner Health where she led over 100 projects including several large expansions up to $90 million in project cost.
