Industry Veterans Deepen Stantec’s West Coast Healthcare Expertise

Two key principals have recently been added to Stantec’s Healthcare team in California. Boon Lim is joining the firm’s Los Angeles office, while Chu Foxlin joins the San Francisco office. The two bring decades of collective project experience to the firm’s West Coast Healthcare practice.

Boon Lim

Throughout Lim’s 30-plus year career in healthcare and bio-medical architecture, he has provided critical leadership and creative solutions for public, institutional and corporate clients, both domestic and abroad. He has led overall project management—including scheduling, staffing, budgeting and receivables—on some of the largest healthcare projects in California and around the globe. Lim’s past experience includes leadership roles on the 2-million-square-foot Providence Saint John’s Health Center Phase II Master Plan in Santa Monica, the HEI Center for Molecular Medicine in Los Angeles, Baxter BioScience LAMP Projects, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and the Beijing International Medical Center, where he led strategic facility planning alongside top local government officials.

Chu Foxlin

Foxlin is a versatile and skilled designer with expertise in both interior and exterior design. She has an extensive background in healthcare, science and technology and higher education projects, with experience in the Asian market. Foxlin has worked on some of the largest healthcare design projects domestically and internationally, including the University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital; the Duke University Cancer Center in Durham, North Carolina; the Boston Children’s Hospital Two Brookline Place in Massachusetts; the Hong Kong Sanatorium Hospital and the National Cancer Center of Singapore.
