Melanie Harris, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, principal at BSA LifeStructures, has been named the healing practice director for BSA. She will build on the firm’s history in healthcare nationally, as well as support the regional studios to grow the practice.
Harris joined BSA four months ago to expand the firm’s presence in the Florida market. She continues to develop that market with the support of the entire BSA team. She enjoys bringing unique solutions to design challenges and is passionate about building strong relationships with clients and industry partners. Harris is a powerful leader, strong communicator and a visionary strategist.
“At the age of 15, when my mom succumbed to cancer, the well-being of people became my focus. Rather than becoming a medical professional, I set my sights on architecture for healing,” said Harris. “I believe in the power of community and the impact design and planning can have on strengthening communities.”
