Bob Donahue, MBA, has been named the leader of CannonDesign’s Buffalo, New York and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania offices. In this role, Donahue will direct the overall growth and development of the offices with special focus on fostering new community relationships, mentoring employees, identifying and nurturing talent and establishing strategic client partnerships across the health, education, commercial science and civic markets.
Prior to assuming this new role, Donahue was a client leader for CannonDesign’s health practice, guiding institutions through strategic and capital planning, facility planning, design and delivery and ongoing building operations.
His understanding of the unique challenges complex organizations face is informed by more than 28 years of experience as a senior executive of operations at Unity Health and Rochester Regional Health systems in Rochester, New York. In these roles, he oversaw $750 million in construction and was responsible for a team of 1,600 employees, while managing a $700 million operations budget. Donahue also spent three years working for a regional contractor focusing on business development and strategic planning.
