Design Leader Joins Perkins and Will’s Minneapolis Healthcare Team

The Minneapolis, Minnesota studio of Perkins and Will has added another voice to its design leadership team with the hiring of Donovan Nelson, AIA, LEED AP. Nelson has joined the studio as senior healthcare designer and associate principal.

Nelson brings more than 20 years of design experience, including 12 years of healthcare design, to his new role and will provide dedicated design expertise to Perkins and Will’s growing healthcare practice. Among Nelson’s more notable projects are the Hazelden Betty Ford Fellowship Club; Children’s National Elsie & Marvin Dekelboum Family Foundation Molecular Imaging Center; Ervin A. and Margaret C. Mueller Children’s Center Atrium at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus and CentraCare Health – LongPrairie Critical Access Hospital and Wellness Center.

Nelson is the third new hire within the Minneapolis studio’s healthcare practice in the last nine months. In July, the studio welcomed Scott Davidson, AIA, NCARB, as healthcare lead and associate principal and Tim Casey, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C, as senior project manager and senior associate. Combined, the three bring more than 65 years of experience to the 70-person Minneapolis studio.
