ASHE Earns 2020 Energy Star Partner of the Year–Sustained Excellence Award

The American Society for Health Care Engineering has received the 2020 Energy Star Partner of the Year Award—Sustained Excellence for the second year in a row, marking the fourth consecutive year that ASHE has won an Energy Star Partner of the Year Award. This award recognizes ASHE’s continued leadership and contributions to Energy Star.

ASHE provides resources and programs specifically tailored to hospitals, which have unique energy needs due to their around-the-clock operation and the energy-intensive medical equipment required for patient care. ASHE’s Energy to Care program helps hospitals track energy use, become more efficient and redirect energy savings toward patient care. Since 2010, over 3,600 facilities have realized significant energy savings through the program.

The highest honor among Energy Star awards is the Energy Star Partner of the Year—Sustained Excellence Award. EPA presents the Sustained Excellence Award to partners that have already received Energy Star Partner of the Year recognition for a minimum of two consecutive years and have gone above and beyond the criteria needed to qualify for recognition. Winners hail from small, family owned businesses to Fortune 500 organizations — representing energy-efficient products, services, new homes and buildings in the commercial, industrial and public sectors.
