The Christman Company Acquires MEDCO Construction from Baylor Scott & White Health
The Christman Company has acquired MEDCO Construction. The acquisition allows Christman to expand its construction services and sets the stage for growth in Texas and the surrounding areas.
MEDCO, the construction arm of Baylor Scott & White, the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas, had previously operated as an in-house construction partner for the system for more than 55 years. The unique collaboration resulted in some of the system’s, and the state’s, most innovative medical centers.
With this acquisition, the former MEDCO staff joins forces with Christman, combining its expertise with long-standing local relationships. With more than $1 billion in annual revenue, Christman was seeking a strategic partnership in the region and together with Baylor Scott & White Health, determined this would be a good fit for both organizations.
