HMC Architects Names New Leadership to its Healthcare Practice

Senior Healthcare Planner Chris Naughton, AIA, ACHA, was recently promoted to healthcare practice leader at HMC Architects.

As part of an ongoing strategy to invest in the practice’s future and overall position in the Northern California region, the firm has also added two seasoned healthcare professionals to its Sacramento and San Jose, California’s offices to build HMC’s bench strength in the healthcare market.

Since joining HMC in 2016, Naughton continues to serve as senior healthcare planner for the firm in HMC’s Sacramento office. In his new role, he is responsible for the strategic vision and overall performance of the firm’s healthcare practice. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience and has been largely involved in HMC’s active pursuit of new work, as well as the master planning and design of large projects, including Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Stanford Valley Medical Center, Adventist Health Lodi Medical Center and the Kaiser Permanente Fresno emergency department expansion.

With a passion for guiding clients on the future of building construction, code changes, costs and alternate approaches to delivering care, Naughton is known as a trusted advisor of spaces and buildings in the complex and constantly evolving healthcare market.
