Operational Readiness Added to Hammes Company Service Platform

Healthcare developer Hammes Company has added operational readiness to its integrated service platform. This new program provides a comprehensive overlay to clients’ capital projects, working with the clinical and operational leadership to be “patient ready. It integrates numerous multi-functional work teams and leads them in much the same way architecture, engineering and construction teams are led.

The team works with hospital leadership to develop and manage an operational readiness project plan that includes a detailed task list and guide to assist in the coordination of activation activities and departmental tasks such as staffing and training, revenue cycle and billing, regulatory and accreditation, emergency preparedness, operational practice and contract and licensure tracking.

The developer facilitates a “Walk in the Life” event as part of the program, testing numerous scenarios with leaders and staff to determine whether the organization has the physical, technical and support components needed to ensure operational readiness.

The company’s operational readiness service is led by Liz Durrence, who joins Hammes after serving as the chief operating officer of several hospitals in the southeast for a national healthcare system.
