Heather Platt Appointed to FGI’s Health Guidelines Revision Committee

Heather Platt, P.E., a senior project manager for Dewberry, has been appointed to the Facility Guidelines Institute’s Health Guidelines Revision Committee for the 2019-20 term. She represents the North Piedmont Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

Platt has been in the mechanical engineering industry for nearly 25 years, and an active member of ASHRAE for 21. She manages healthcare-related projects based in Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office.

Platt earned her master’s in business administration and has a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. Her work as a contributing author for the paper titled, “Water Management in Healthcare Facilities: Complying with ASHRAE Standard 188,” was published by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. In addition, Platt served as a contributing author in ASHRAE’s HVAC Design Manual for Hospitals and Clinics, 2nd Edition.
