Charlie Newsome has joined Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office as a senior construction manager in the construction group.
Newsome is responsible for leading and developing the firm’s construction practice in the Southeast region, with particular emphasis on working with its local 
engineering team in Raleigh to execute turnkey construction projects for an array of clients, including those in the healthcare, higher education and commercial markets.
Newsome joins the firm with more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry, recently having spent the past 18 years with Riley Contracting Group, Inc. His main areas of expertise include complex multi-phased construction renovations in occupied healthcare facilities.
Newsome graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a concentration on construction.
