Scott Reed has joined Stantec as principal in its healthcare buildings team in Los Angeles, California. Reed joins the firm’s growing LA office to provide leadership and focus on delivering innovative solutions to healthcare clients in the Southern California market. He joins principals Joanne McAllister and Jeff Hankin in San Diego and Richey Madison in Irvine to provide a strong network of local leadership with access to a large Northern California and global healthcare practice.

With 30 years of experience, Reed has built a reputation for transformational strategic leadership, with a primary focus on client and business development, combined with the knowledge and expertise to create exceptional, award-winning architecture. He’s worked with key clients including University of California medical campuses at UC Irvine, UCLA and UC San Diego; Cedars-Sinai Health System and City of Hope. Reed also served as the Western Region market and practice leader for CannonDesign in Los Angeles, where he served as principal-in-charge of the UC San Diego Health, Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla. The 509,500-square-foot medical center serves as three hospitals in one, with a focus on women’s and children’s health, cancer and specialty surgery. The tower is the cornerstone of a new campus identity focused on the future of health, pairing cutting-edge, modern medicine with a best-in-class patient experience.
