Adeleh Nejati, AIA, PhD, LEED AP, WELL AP, EDAC, has joined HMC Architects’ healthcare practice to bolster its growth and expertise. Serving as healthcare planner and researcher, Nejati brings a wealth of industry-leading experience and a unique skillset rooted in advanced research, innovation and genuine knowledge of healthcare clients’ key drivers and business challenges.

Located in HMC’s San Jose, California office, Nejati will be instrumental in serving and expanding the firm’s healthcare client base by integrating research into the design process and implementing Evidence-Based strategies into the design of healthcare facilities—creating high value and ROI for its clients.

Driven to enhancing the human experience in healthcare environments for patients, families and staff, Nejati received a master’s degree in architecture from Miami University, Ohio, and a Doctorate in Healthcare Architecture from Texas A&M University. She has worked on a wide variety of healthcare projects from small renovations to mid- and large-sized hospitals.

Previously with architecture firms HKS and HOK respectively, Nejati served as healthcare planner and researcher on a variety of projects including Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, USC Norris Cancer Center and a 1.5-million-square-foot cancer hospital and specialized outpatient clinic facility in Hong Kong.
