Dewberry has hired Heather Platt, P.E. in its Raleigh, North Carolina office.
She joins the firm’s mechanical engineering healthcare group with 24 years of experience, where she will oversee healthcare-related projects from design through construction. Her background includes developing conceptual project programming; designing mechanical systems for large-scale facilities; specifying work results for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and managing construction. She is a two-time published contributing author for the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers, and a Distinguished Lecturer for ASHRAE.
Platt earned her master’s in business administration from Medaille College and her bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She holds a professional engineer license in multiple states and is an active member of ASHRAE, where she sits on numerous committees and has held leadership positions for the past 11 years. Additionally, she is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and an associate member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering and the North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association.
