Leaking air ducts can more than double fan energy use, and increase heating and cooling costs significantly. According to ASHRAE, a 20 percent leakage in an exhaust system can increase fan energy use by 95 percent. Duct leakage problems are particularly acute in hospitals. The healthcare setting is one of the most challenging and high stakes environments for heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. The benefits of duct sealing in healthcare facilities is the topic of an upcoming free webinar.

What: Resuscitate Leaky Ductwork for Big Healthcare Energy Savings & Regulatory Compliance (webinar)

    Sponsors: EMA, Aeroseal

    When: 1:30 p.m. EST, Dec. 6

    Registration link: aeroseal.com/com/duct-sealing-ecm/ema2018/

Presenters: Rob Hallewick, business development, Nerva Energy; Amit Gupta, CEO Aeroseal; Rick Papetti, product and application manager, Aeroseal

    Learning objectives:

    • Understand both the clear and the not-so-obvious ways in which duct leakage impacts overall energy usage
    • Learn about available duct sealing methods, including the pros and cons of each
    • Discover how engineers at a Canada Health hospital facility implemented a new approach to duct sealing and solved a previously “unsolvable” HVAC issue, while realizing nearly $60,000 in annual energy savings
    • Learn about other medical facilities that have realized big energy savings and regulatory compliance through effective duct sealing

CEU: Course is approved for 1 AIA LU/HSW (certificates will be provided to attendees)
