Hunvey Chen Named Regional Leader of Healthcare for HOK’s Los Angeles Practice

Project experience and background in architecture and urban planning make Hunvey Chen, AIA, LEED AP, well-equipped to lead HOK’s Healthcare group in Los Angeles, California.

In her dozen years at HOK, Chen has played a vital role on major healthcare projects, including Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion, Scripps Prebys Cardiovascular Institute and Ventura County Medical Center Hospital Replacement Wing.

In addition to her work at HOK, Chen serves on the healthcare steering committee for the LA chapter of American Institute of Architects where she champions industry best practices for medical facility planning, design and construction.

Chen is a member of HOK’s Diversity Advisory Council and captains the office’s softball team. She is also an avid hockey player and last year starred in an inspiring commercial for PowerBar that followed her onto the ice. A native of Los Angeles County’s San Gabriel Valley, Chen graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and from the University of Southern California with a Master of Planning.
