Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion Offers Holistic Health Environment

Cypress Creek Medical Pavilion, an 81,000-square-foot surgery and wellness center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, is complete. The facility integrates an ambulatory surgery center with preventive care, providing a variety of services in one location for the Ft. Lauderdale community.
Gresham, Smith & Partners’ project team designed the building to be constructed using the tilt-up process, a method that provides the strength and durability of reinforced concrete and can be built quickly and economically. The building’s low profile matches the surrounding area, while contemporary exterior and modern canopies over the entrances make a statement. Inside, the sleek, modern lobby features a two-story atrium that floods the space with natural light.

The facility is anchored by a 16,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center, which features a registration area, a pre-testing area, 18 pre-op and post-op bays and five operating rooms, as well as sterile processing and clean storage areas. Designed in a loop, the center’s operationally efficient layout keeps pre-surgery and post-surgery patients from crossing paths and gives caregivers maximum visibility from the centralized nurse station. The building’s second level will feature traditional medical services, as well as fitness and rehabilitation centers.

The general contractor for the project was ANF Group, Inc.
