LIGHTFAIR 2019 Call for Speakers: Global Invitation to Experts in Diverse Disciplines

ATLANTA, Ga. – The LIGHTFAIR International Conference begins its run to opening day 2019 with the Call for Speakers. This global invitation calls for top professionals from a broad spectrum of industries to submit to speak at the annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center May 19-23, 2019 (Pre-Conference LIGHTFAIR Institute May 19-20; Trade Show & Conference May 21-23).

The LIGHTFAIR Conference is a collaborative platform where experts from various industries demonstrate their unique perspective to instill best practices and inspire industry professionals. They come from industries such as lighting, architecture, design, technology, engineering, facility management, government, healthcare, hospitality, alternative energy, horticultural lighting, security, transportation and more – all are encouraged to submit proposals for consideration at the LFI 2019 Conference.

For the 2019 LIGHTFAIR Conference, experts are invited to submit ideas to share expertise and experience within the following learning modalities: Experiential Learning, Rapid Fire, Panel Presentation, Moderated Discussion, Lecture and Tour:

  • Experiential Learning – Participants are actively engaged with the session through the use of hands-on activity, design charrette, software training, etc.
  • Rapid Fire – Two to four presenters sharing big ideas on a related topic in a limited amount of time, allowing for a minimum of 20 minutes of Q&A.
  • Panel Presentation – Consists of up to four presenters delivering different views about a topic or project.
  • Moderated Discussion – Consists of moderated panel discussion or debate throughout the session. The session can include up to four presenters (including the moderator). The moderator’s function is to pose questions to panel members to solicit perspectives.
  • Lecture – Traditional engaging presentation – demonstrations, case studies or interactive exercises are encouraged.
  • Tour – An in-depth exploratory discussion and visit to a local lighting installation or significant project.

Courses range in level (all levels, foundational, intermediate and advanced) and length (60-minute courses, 90-minute courses, three-hour workshops, one-day courses, two-day courses, tours and forums).
