First Look at New Intermountain Spanish Fork Hospital
Residents of south Utah County will have a new Intermountain Healthcare hospital before the end of 2020, but they’re getting a first look now at what the 30-bed facility will look like.
Estimated at approximately $150 million, the new hospital will focus on women’s and medical/surgical services consistent with a community hospital. Features include:
- Five labor and delivery rooms, two C-section rooms and two antepartum rooms
- 12 postpartum beds
- 12 emergency department rooms
- Four operating rooms
- Two gastroenterology suites
Imaging services such as CT, radiology and MRI will also be available, as well as cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing and infusion therapy. An onsite medical office building and Intermountain InstaCare will provide additional services.
Construction will begin with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for mid-August. Okland Construction is the contractor for the new hospital; HDR is serving as architect.
