The topping out of the new Inspira Health Network Medical Center, located in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, was recently celebrated. The facility is being built under the Integrated Project Delivery approach. The general contractor is Skanska; design partners include Array Architects and Leach Wallace Associates.
The five-story, 467,000-square-foot hospital building has 204 beds. The main tower consists of operating rooms, an emergency department and imaging suites, as well as administrative, dining and support services. The project also includes a new central utility plant, which will provide electrical power, heating/hot water and chilled water to the new hospital.
The new medical center will be Skanska USA’s largest IPD project to date in North America. The project will bring 400 local full-time jobs to the construction site.
Construction is scheduled to be complete by December 2019.
