An evolved Light & Health Forum will advance leading-edge thought leadership across the spectrum of lighting and technology in the 2018 Lightfair Conference May 6-10 (pre-conference Lightfair Institute May 6-7; Trade Show & Conference May 8-10). The conference will be held in Chicago, Illinois at McCormick Place.
Forums take place on Wednesday, May 9, with six sessions of knowledge revolving around dynamic topics. Forum sessions are available as a package or à la carte. They are a part of the full Lightfair Conference program that offers 72 courses for 2018 ranging from 60 minutes to two days in length.
The Light & Health Forum will return for its third year with all-new courses. Light has been shown to impact humans well beyond providing for optimal visual performance. This forum continues to explore the non-visual effects of light not only on humans, but also plants and wildlife. Current knowledge of the impact of light on biological health and overall well-being will be addressed with more detailed exploration into some of the new metrics and design guidelines shaping circadian lighting applications.
The Light & Health Forum will begin with a breakfast presentation and then a full day of sessions including:
- The Truth about Circadian Lighting 2.0
- Lighting Metrics for Well-being: Characterizing Visual and Non-Visual Responses
- Seeing Red: How Long-Wavelength Light Can Impact Humans, Plants and Animals
- How to Do Tunable WELL: Points, Pitfalls and Potential
- Circadian Lighting Solutions for Office Work Places
- Starving for Darkness – How Exterior Lighting Affects our Wildlife
New for 2018, forum participants will have access to a digital version of the sessions they attend after the conference for future viewing. All Lightfair Conference registrants have the option to purchase a digital version of the forum sessions. For more info, visit lightfair.com.
