Veritas Constructs New Hospital, Increases Access to Care for Persons with Eating Disorders
DURHAM, N.C. – Veritas Collaborative, a specialty healthcare system for the treatment of eating disorders, will construct a new hospital in Atlanta, Georgia dedicated to multidisciplinary care for children, adolescents and young adults up to age 21 with eating disorders. The hospital is the first of its kind in Georgia and surrounding states. Over 30 million Americans suffer from eating disorders.
Opening in summer 2018, Veritas’ new hospital, a 62,980-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, will be located at 41 Perimeter Center East in Dunwoody. The 50-bed hospital will provide inpatient, residential and partial hospitalization services.
The existing Veritas medical and outpatient facility located in Dunwoody will continue to provide multidisciplinary outpatient – medical, psychiatric, psychotherapy and nutrition – and intensive outpatient services to ensure patients have access to the full spectrum of Veritas Collaborative care.
