The Neenan Company recently completed two healthcare projects in Washington and Oregon, while also breaking ground on two healthcare projects in California.
The Neenan Company completed its first project with Columbia Basin Health Association, delivering a new multi-service clinic in Othello, Washington. The 77,900-square-foot clinic opened in October and represents the largest healthcare facility in the region with 350 employees and one of eastern Washington’s largest pharmacies. Combining two previously existing CBHA facilities under one roof, the two-story development offers primary care, family care, behavioral health, dental care, eye care, lab, imaging and pharmacy services. The clinic features integrated tracking mechanisms to connect staff and patients, exterior window glass with dimming capabilities to help cool rooms and hallways and a café serving Starbucks – marking the first Starbucks location in Othello.
Working with St. Charles Health System, The Neenan Company also completed renovations plus an addition to St. Charles Madras, a 26,500-square-foot critical access hospital in Madras, Oregon. The updated facility features a new emergency department, imaging department, surgery department, laboratory and main entry, while improving the overall flow with the hospital and existing primary care clinic. Strategically designed to meet the hospital’s immediate and long-term needs, the expanded facility doubles the hospital’s surgery volume and increases the size of the emergency and surgical departments by more than three times the size of the former space.
In November, The Neenan Company broke ground on United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley’s new 53,000-square-foot administrative building in Fresno, California. The new development will provide an additional 36,000 square feet of space compared to the present administration building located in Parlier, California. The single-story facility will feature a large entry canopy, divisible conference rooms, open office spaces, covered parking and solar panels. Upon its completion in late 2018, the state-of-the-art building will house 150 employees, accommodating the healthcare organization’s growth.
The Neenan Company also recently broke ground on Community Health Centers of the Central Coast’s 26,600-square-foot clinic in Templeton, California. The clinic will serve as a replacement facility for CHC’s clinic in Templeton, providing an additional 10,700 square feet to increase capacity. The relocation will co-locate the healthcare organization’s services including family and internal medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, pharmacy, laboratory and chiropractic care. Completion is anticipated in early 2019.
