Janice Stanton, R.N., MBA, EDAC, Lean, and Margaret W. Sutton, AIA, LEED AP, have joined Gresham, Smith and Partners’ Nashville, Tennessee Healthcare studio. As manager of pre-design services, Stanton will combine her clinical background and business expertise to guide pre-design planning and support informed, efficient design delivery processes. As a senior architect and healthcare principal, Sutton will elevate the firm’s Evidence-Based, patient-centric design approach.
An industry veteran of more than 30 years, Stanton has assisted more than 100 hospitals and healthcare systems with a variety of planning needs, including master planning, functional and space programming, operational assessments and implementation of performance-improvement initiatives. Stanton is a registered nurse with clinical experience in acute impatient care, outpatient ambulatory services and clinical research. She is Evidence-Based Design certified and committed to basing decisions about the built environment on credible research.
Sutton will draw on her 28 years of experience as a healthcare architect working with hospitals and academic medical centers to focus on strategic planning, helping clients solve some of their biggest challenges.
