HMC Architects Makes Senior Strategic Hire in Healthcare Practice

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Warren Rutledge, AIA, has joined HMC Architects’ healthcare practice to bolster its growth and expertise. Serving as senior project architect, Rutledge brings a wealth of industry-leading experience and unique skillsets rooted in leading collaborative integrated deliveries, BIM leadership, technical documentation and construction administration. He will be leading efforts in life safety strategy, facilitating municipality relationships and project execution.

Located in HMC’s Phoenix, Arizona office, Rutledge will be instrumental in serving and expanding the firm’s healthcare client base by developing construction documents to lead the team through construction and project closeout, technical oversight on documentation, code reviews, life safety plans and serving as a mentor to junior staff.

Previously with SmithGroupJJR, Rutledge served as a project architect and technical lead for the firm’s Interiors and Workplace Group. Some of his noteworthy healthcare projects include the Banner Health emergency department workflow renovation project, the Banner Health Ironwood Medical Center hospital expansion to the obstetrics, labor and delivery departments and MRI, angiography and SPEC-CT build-outs at Banner Baywood Medical Center.
