Seasoned Healthcare Facility Design Expert Joins New York Office of Perkins Eastman

Jason Harper, AIA, LEED AP, a healthcare facility design veteran, has recently joined Perkins Eastman’s leadership in its New York City office as a principal. He has honed his skills in healthcare facility design throughout his 30-year career, successfully guiding global clients through complex, multi-phased planning and construction projects.

Harper has managed the design of large-scale projects, including the Sheik Zayed Tower and Bloomberg Children’s Center projects at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the principal planner for the Başakşehir Integrated Health Campus in Istanbul, Turkey.

Harper, an associate principal at Perkins + Will for nine years and a principal at Guenther 5 Architects for three years, is co-chair of the AIA NY Health Facilities Committee. After Hurricane Sandy, he led efforts to increase the resiliency of NYC’s hospitals and healthcare facilities. He frequently speaks about health district planning and healthcare facility design at conferences and authors articles on these subjects for various publications.
