Eduardo Egea Named Chair of AIA’s Academy of Architecture for Health’s First Miami Chapter
MIAMI, Fla. – Stantec Miami healthcare principal and architect Eduardo Egea has been named chair of the American Institute of Architects’ Academy of Architecture for Health’s first Miami Chapter (Florida).
As chair and founder of AAH’s Miami chapter, Egea will promote the collaboration between professionals involved in healthcare design and construction including healthcare providers, designers, consultants, construction managers and vendors. He will also represent the Miami chapter at a national level and oversee the content and planning of all the AAH Miami events for the next two years.
“In response to the growing demand for healthcare facility design and construction work throughout South Florida, I found a need to lead the efforts towards the creation of an AAH chapter in Miami,” said Egea, who is known locally and internationally as a respected practitioner, a thought leader and as a frequent speaker/author on health facilities design and planning topics.
