Submissions Being Accepted for Healthcare Interior Design Competition

Submissions are being accepted for the International Interior Design Association’s 6th annual Healthcare Interior Design Competition, which honors and celebrates outstanding originality and excellence in the design and furnishings of healthcare interior spaces.

“With research illustrating the link between design and positive patient outcomes, designers are making a tremendous impact on the healthcare industry,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “We are looking forward to once again receiving submissions that reflect the ever-evolving and healing nature of healthcare design.”

Submissions are being accepted in the following categories:

  • Ambulatory, including specialty clinic pediatric, cancer center, ambulatory surgery center, urgent care center
  • Hospitals, including community, academic/teaching hospitals, pediatric, women’s, psychiatric
  • Extended care and assisted living facilities, including skilled nursing facility, mental health, long-term care, hospice/palliative care

The competition is open to participants worldwide. Any design professional practicing legally within his or her jurisdiction may submit project(s) for consideration via the competition website. The deadline for entries is Monday, Aug.14.
