5-Story Inspira Hospital Building Delivered Under Integrated Project Delivery

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Skanska USA recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Inspira Health Network hospital building in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. The new Inspira Health Network Medical Center is being built under the Integrated Project Delivery approach, which brings together the client, designer and the builder to align stakeholders and streamline the execution of the project. The project will bring approximately 400 local full-time jobs to the construction site.

With its partners, Array Architects and Leach Wallace Associates, Skanska USA is constructing a five-story hospital building with 204 beds. The main tower consists of operating rooms, an emergency department, imaging suites, as well as administrative, dining and support services. The project also includes a new central utility plant, which will provide electrical power, heating/hot water and chilled water to the new hospital.

Enhancements include all private rooms, designed with family caregivers in mind; user-friendly layout for outpatients and inpatients; plenty of natural light in patient rooms and common areas; wayfinding technology for patients and visitors; rapid access to a single, up-to-date electronic health record for each patient and smart room technology that will provide patients and caregivers with real-time information and easy access to educational materials and entertainment.

CBRE Healthcare is providing owner’s representative services for the new medical facility.

Construction is scheduled to be complete by December 2019.
