TULSA, Okla. – LEDs Magazine, owned by PennWell Corporation and part of the PennWell LED & Lighting Network, has launched the Lighting for Health and Wellbeing Conference to be held July 27 at the Newport Beach Marriott and Spa in Newport Beach, California.

Focused on how light affects the mind and body, this specialized one-day conference will provide cutting-edge information on the latest technologies and techniques impacting the advancement of the human-centric lighting market. Addressing science and research associated with human-centric lighting—plus coverage of key business challenges—the conference will attract a range of high-level attendees involved in healthcare, office and school facility management, academia and consultancy.

“Scientists are continuing to discover how the right kind of lighting affects mood, productivity and overall health. As this research advances, a market is now evolving related to installing certain kinds of light in healthcare, office buildings, schools and universities to improve the way we work and how we feel. This special conference is a unique opportunity to bring the research, supplier and end-user sectors together to exchange valuable information to drive the industry forward,” said James Highgate, conference program chair.

With Pinnacle Architectural Lighting and LUXTECH confirmed as sponsors, the inaugural Lighting for Health and Wellbeing Conference will feature lucrative networking opportunities with thought leaders and practitioners, plus provide access to the latest products and technologies impacting this developing application of LED lighting.

The conference program will cover a variety of topics such as case studies of installations, the latest scientific findings, market trends, color therapy, controls, sleep-wake cycles and future industry outlooks. For more info, visit: www.lightingforhealthandwellbeing.com.
