HDR adds Douglas Gordon to its health practice as a health planning principal in the San Francisco, California office.
Gordon will lead project teams with a focus on facility planning for healthcare and research facilities. Taking on a role that seems to be tailor-made for him, he is also looking forward to mentoring young staff and sharing his insights as a member of the office business development team.
Loving a challenge, Gordon recognizes the intricacies that are required to achieve a functionally efficient health facility and enjoys working with an integrated team, collaborating with end users, facility staff and contractors, as well as other members of the design team. His approach with clients is straight-forward and effective, and has been proven many times: identifying and analyzing users’ specific needs and goals to conceive creative solutions.
Gordon’s decades of experience encompasses working on significant projects in the U.S. and around the globe. He’s applied his broad-ranging skills on all types of projects, from small renovations and large-scale additions to full-scale master planning. Frequently managing multiple projects simultaneously, he thinks one of his greatest skills is being able to successfully juggle many projects at once.
