Arup Welcomes Min Kim to Healthcare Team

HOUSTON, Texas – Arup has recently added Min Kim, P.E., LEED, to its Houston, Texas office as associate principal. Kim brings expertise in patient-centered design and managing interdisciplinary projects to the firm’s team of healthcare designers. His extensive knowledge of the local industry will support the company’s continuing work to develop sustainable and resilient healthcare design solutions.

Kim comes to Arup from Affiliated Engineers, where he was director of operations and healthcare leader. Prior to that, he worked at Smith Seckman Reid and Syska Hennessy Group. His past projects include the LEED Silver-certified CHI St. Luke’s Health at Springwoods Village; the Baylor College of Medicine – The Eye Institute and the Williams P. Clements Jr. University Hospital at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where collaboration between the owner, design team and construction team resulted in employing efficient speed-to-market strategies, including pre-fabricated and modular construction. He is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Houston Area Association of Healthcare Engineers.

Arup’s healthcare portfolio includes the Kaiser Permanente San Diego Central Hospital project, as well as the Calgary Cancer Center in Canada and the Dublin Children’s Hospital.
